Our priorities

Privacy, Transparency and Quality.

Your privacy, confidentiality and safety

Our number one priority is to ensure that all the data you choose to share with your psychologist are completely private and confidential (the only exception being if you become an immediate threat to another person’s or your own life). To accomplish this, we use HIPAA and GDPR compliant encrypted communication software exclusively. Also, every psychologist at ScaleUpCare is required to encrypt and protect by password all the documentation they produce or receive about you.

If you feel that, at any time, your rights to privacy, confidentiality or safety were infringed, please contact us immediately. In case we are unable to solve your issues, please refer your complaints to your psychologist’s regulatory board website, which you may find here.

If you would like to know more about our privacy policy, please refer to Privacy Policy.

Transparency through truly informed consent

At ScaleUpCare we believe you have the right to know about every detail that concerns your care. This is why we place great focus on giving you a truly informed consent, both verbal and written. Prior to initiating any psychological assessment or intervention, you will be given information about risks, benefits and limitations of methods used, as well as updated research regarding their efficacy, with a particular focus on the efficacy of online methods.

You will also be informed in advance about payment and fees, limits to confidentiality, out-of-session contacts, cancellation policies, procedures in case of technological issues, and more.

We strongly encourage you to disclose any doubts and expectations you may have, as your psychologist will happily clarify them.

Quality over quantity

Only licensed clinical psychologists who provide documentation meeting EuroPsy standards and evidence a minimum of 3 years of experience working with millennials are eligible to collaborate with ScaleUpCare.

All psychologists at ScaleUpCare who operate online are required to be in accordance with the same ethics and code of conduct followed in face-to-face consultations.

Psychologists working with English or Spanish speaking clients must be able to understand, speak, read and write proficiently in English or Spanish, respectively.

To control for quality of service, we will ask you to complete a very short survey about the quality of your experience after each session.
